School Involvement

Building Confidence Through Pickleball and Mentorship

Different Strokes volunteers use pickleball as a vehicle to help youth build confidence, leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. By partnering with schools, parents, and community organizations, we tailor our programs to meet the unique needs of each school, creating meaningful support and positive outcomes for students.

Through pickleball, Peace Circles, workshops, and mentorship, youth learn accountability, sportsmanship, and how to make positive, life-enhancing choices. Community mentors also share their professional expertise while introducing students to activities such as basketball, baseball, chess, and pickleball—helping every participant develop skills, confidence, and a team-first mindset.

Everyone wins.
