Honoring the Chicago Legends of Urban Pickleball

On May 30, 2026, Different Strokes gathered at Grand Crossing Park for a special day of appreciation and recognition. While we enjoy the growth of pickleball today, we recognize that it would not have been possible without the vision, dedication, and countless hours invested by those who introduced and championed the sport throughout Chicago's urban communities.

It was our privilege to honor these trailblazers whose leadership, coaching, and commitment helped open the doors for so many others to discover and enjoy the game:
